As a Partner with Dowd Wealth Management, and with over twenty-five years’ experience in the financial services industry, Joe has a passion for helping families and individuals successfully manage, invest and protect their life savings.  Joe realizes that each person’s goals are unique and he, along with his team, take an active interest in communicating with clients to understand both their short and long-term life financial objectives.  Joe garnered his deep understanding of the financial services industry through a myriad of leadership roles he has held within Lehman Brothers, Seligman Advisors, Morgan Stanley, and Fifth Third Asset Management.

Prior to dedicating himself to working one-on-one with individuals, Joe worked with Institutions, Pensions and Municipalities throughout the country and managed and trained Research Analysts on the construction of Institutional, Pension, and Private Client portfolios, while helping Financial Advisors in the implementation of customized strategies for individuals. He has also led industry conferences, focusing upon educating colleagues on the intricacies of technology sector asset allocation. Additionally, Joe was responsible for the creation and distribution of managed account products throughout the United States at Fifth Third Asset Management.

Joe strives to help people achieve and maintain financial security by developing family financial, and investment plans, which promote and protect personal wealth.  To best serve his clients, he is continually enhancing his knowledge on the most current strategies to build and protect clients’ assets. Joe possesses life, health, and variable annuities licenses, and his series 7 and 63 securities registrations held with LPL Financial and 65 held with Private Advisor Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys boating, travelling, gardening, and has a passion for cooking. He lives with his wife of 20 years in Yorktown Heights, NY.
